Can I get a copy of my medical records or prescription?

Under HIPAA, you have the right to request and receive copies of your medical records, including your completed Fitness RX medical intake form and any clinical notes from our partner telemedicine platform, as well as any prescriptions that have been issued. You can also ask for your records in your preferred format, whether electronic or paper, and have them sent to another clinician or pharmacy if needed.

HIPAA allows up to 30 days to process these requests, though some states have shorter timelines. Bottom line: your medical records and prescriptions belong to you, and you can request them at any time. They will be provided securely and in full compliance with HIPAA and applicable state laws.
